Malton School is looking for an experienced minibus driver to enable service routes to be operated successfully and to offer the opportunity for those students who live slightly further afield (and without transport), an education with us at Malton School. This role is split over the day by collecting students in a morning and then collecting them and dropping them home in the afternoon.

We are looking for high level driving skills which demonstrate a careful and defensive approach, along with excellent attendance and reliability. The successful applicant will have a personable approach that will build mutual trust and respect with the students.

Candidates must have a full, clean UK driving (achieved before 1997) or hold a category D1 license and be able to meet the medical requirements for driving a passenger vehicle.

This is an exciting time to join us at Malton School, having recently joined Pathfinder Multi Academy Trust. Our first joint venture, is the delivery of a new Library and Resource Centre due to open in September 2024.

To manage this new centre we are looking to recruit a resolute and professional full time librarian. The successful applicant will have a passion for reading and books, and a sound and demonstrable knowledge of young persons literature. They will have a desire to help students develop their reading skills and encourage a strong reading ethos and culture throughout the school. We want every student to be a strong and avid reader. The postholder will use an online library resource management system alongside Microsoft365 so must be proficient in the use of IT.

The role is integral to the smooth running of the school day, working closely with the Cover Manager, scheduling the team to cover areas of need and ensuring that the highest standards of education are delivered in the absence of the member of teaching staff. Learning Managers are assigned to a faculty and work alongside the teachers to support young people in lessons and contribute to both the academic and social development of students.
