We are looking for an experienced Headteacher or senior leader with a proven track record of outstanding leadership and management across schools. Teaching Assistant Level 2 plus SEN Support

This post is offered initially as a fixed term contract to run until July 2024 – Monday to Friday – 8.30am-3.20pm, Term time only

Rufforth Primary are seeking to recruit a Teaching Assistant to support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) across school. The role will involve working; one to one with a child, working with small intervention groups, supporting the teacher in the classroom and across the lunch break. You may be called on to support children from the ages of 4 up to 11.

Rufforth Primary is a popular rural village school. We have great pupils, a hardworking and dedicated staff team and a supportive local community. We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced person to join the team. The post is available with an immediate start.

Although a Teaching Assistant qualification is not essential, we are looking for someone who has previous experience of working in a school, has an understanding of child development and learning and knowledge of how children like to learn. The successful candidate will:

  • Have a good understanding of how to maximise communication and interaction through play.
  • Ideally, have an understanding of speech, language and communication needs.
  • Be willing to take part in relevant CPD in order to support the children.
  • Be able to work with outside agencies and communicate effectively with parents and colleagues.
  • Be able to be flexible and adapt day to day
  • Be able to tune in with the pupil’s individual interests and triggers

We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, resilient, caring, can show empathy and is willing to work as part of a team.

Cleaning Assistant
