The Pathfinder central team provides essential services to all of our schools allowing headteachers and senior leaders to focus on providing the best all round education to their pupils.

The central team have both strategic and operational responsibility across the following areas:


Our dedicated finance team provides comprehensive support to our schools in areas of budgeting, purchasing, invoicing and payroll. The finance team also provides regular financial reporting to individual schools and the Trust Board, supports schools with capital investment spending and manages all ESFA returns.

Estates and Facilities

The Estates and Facilities Manager supports schools to ensure their buildings are compliant, safe, warm and dry. They line manage the in-house cleaning service and caretaking staff; ensure Health and Safety compliance across the Trust; arrange condition reports and help schools implement regular building maintenance.

Human Resources

Our HR team provides comprehensive support and advice to schools around recruitment, employment and attendance management. They advise on job descriptions and adverts; pay and grading of posts; probationary periods; assist with referrals to Occupational Health and management of short and long-term absences.


The Communications Officer oversees the Trust website and social media and supports individual schools with their websites ensuring they are compliant and fit for purpose. They are also responsible for recruitment advertising across the Trust; production of Trust and school publications, marketing and media relations.

Business and Operations

The Operations Manager ensures essential services such as ICT and catering are fit for purpose and represent value for money. They are the key contact for all external contractors; manage all large scale procurement across the Trust; support school Business Managers and ensure GDPR compliance.
